Distribution: — BOLIVIA: Chuquisaca, Tarija. Open grassy slopes in inter-Andean dry valleys; 2200 m elev. Also known from Paraguay, Southern Brazil, Uruguay and northern Argentina.
Representative specimens examined: — BOLIVIA. Chuquisaca: Belisario Boeto, camino de Villa Serrano a Pampas del Tigre a 15 km de Serrano, 2186 m, 19°07.05’S, 64°14.57’W, 14 December 2004 (fl), J. R.I. Wood & H. Huaylla 21195 (K, LPB).
