Coleoxestia spinipennis spinipennis ; Fragoso, 1993: 331; Monné, 2016: 101 (cat.).

Remarks. For complete bibliography see Monné (2016). Coleoxestia spinipennis spinipennis was described from Brazil, without precise locality. Dohrn (1883) (reference not recorded in Monné 2016) was the first who pointed out a more precise place in Brazil (Pernambuco). Currently the species is recorded from Brazil (Goiás, Pernambuco, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul), Paraguay, Argentina (Misiones), and Uruguay (Monné 2016; Dohrn 1883; Gounelle 1909). We record the species for Bolivia (new country record).

Based on the geographical distribution of this species, the specimens from Bolivia should be C. spinipennis interiorana Fragoso, 1993 , a species recorded in Pará and Mato Grosso ( Brazil). However, we could not find any morphological difference from the specimens of C. s. spinipennis deposited in MZSP collection (including some specimens identified by Fragoso). Additionally, we did not find any differences between the paratype male of C. s. interiorana deposited at MZSP collection and the specimens of C. s. spinipennis , notably those pointed out by Fragoso (1993).

We observed two variations in the specimens examined: general color from reddish-brown to black; outer apex of antennomere IV from rounded to angulated.
