Lycomorphon elongaticolle ( Pic, 1922)

Idiopteron (Lycomorphon) elongaticolle Pic, 1922: 25 .

Holotype, male, PERU: ‘Wrang’ ( MNHN). Paratype, male, PERU: ‘Callanga’ ( MNHN).

Diagnosis. Elytra with 4 costae, costa 3 present only in median third. Pronotum widened backwards. Antennomere 3 half as long as 4, parallel-sided. Phallus with distal half curved dorsally, apex rounded. Paramerae slightly shorter than half of phallus.

Redescription. Interocular distance 1.6 times longer than eye diameter. Antennomere 3 as long as half of 4 ( Fig. 10 ). Mandibles reduced, maxillary palpi short. Pronotum trapezoidal, with simple median longitudinal carina. Elytra dark brown with yellow band of variable width in apical third and yellow humeral spots reaching elytral midlength. Each elytron with 4 costae, costa 3 weakened and present only in median third, costa 1 absent apically, reticulate cells square, irregular. Abdominal sternum 8 triangularly emarginate distally, sternum 9 elongate, rounded proximally and triangular distally. Phallus with distal half curved dorsally, paramerae slightly shorter than half of phallus ( Figs. 20–22 ). Body length: 7–7.5 mm, humeral width: 1.5 mm.

Distribution: Peru.
