Idiopteron (Lycomorphon) elongaticolle v. diversicolle Pic, 1931: 104 .

Holotype, male, BOLIVIA: ‘Germain’ ‘Yungas, Coll. Kraatz’ ( MNHN).

Other material: male, PERU: ‘Gb Madre de Dios 500m’ ( MNHN).

Diagnosis. Elytra with 4 costae, costa 3 present only in median third. Pronotum only slightly widened distally. Antennomere 3 as long as 4, antennomeres with lateral margins rounded. Phallus broad, weakly narrower than parameral width, paramerae slightly shorter than half of phallus.

Redescription. Interocular distance 1.5 times longer than eye diameter. Antennomere 3 as long as half of 4 ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 10 – 19 ). Mandibles reduced, maxillary palpi elongate, tips slightly truncate. Pronotum trapezoidal, slightly widened distally, provided with simple median longitudinal carina ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ), lateral margins yellow. Elytra elongate, dark brown, with yellow humeri connected or not in the middle to the tranversal band. Sutural costae slightly convergent in apical third. Each elytron with 4 costae, costa 3 absent in posterior third, costa 1 missing apically, reticulate cells square, irregular. Abdominal sternum 8 triangularly emarginate distally, sternum 9 elongate, rounded proximally, triangular distally. Phallus with distal half curved dorsally, teary orifice in distal half. Paramerae slightly shorter than half of phallus length ( Figs. 32–34 View FIGURES 20 – 37 ). Body length: 6.5–6.8 mm, humeral width: 1.4 mm.
