Austria ( Fischer 1977b, 1980; Yu et al. 2012), Moldova ( Lelej 2012; Yu et al. 2012), China, France, Italy, Slovenia, former Yugoslavia ( Yu et al. 2012), Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Switzerland ( Fischer and Koponen 1999; Yu et al. 2012), Germany ( Belokobylskij et al. 2003; Yu et al. 2012), Lithuania ( Jakimavicius 1977 as Opius vilnensis ; Yu et al. 2012), Russia ( Fischer 1984; Tobias 2000; Lelej 2012; Yu et al. 2012), Sweden ( Thomson 1895 as Opius longicauda ; Fischer and Koponen 1999; Yu et al. 2012), Turkey (Beyarslan and Fischer 2011, 2013; Fischer and Beyarslan 2012; Beyarslan 2015).

Host records. In Finland this species is reported from Pegomya hyoscyami (Panzer, 1809) on Chenopodium bonus-henricus (L.) ( Fischer and Koponen 1999).
