Specimens examined. JAPAN: [Honshu] 1 F, Tochigi Pref., Nasushiobara City, Shiobaraoonuma , 12 May 2016 , E. Katayama leg. ( KPMNH); 1 F, Nagano Pref., Ueda City, Sugadaira , 14 May–4 Jun. 2015 , S. Shimizu leg., MT ( KPMNH); 1 F, Aichi Pref., Toyota, Mennoki , 4–12 Apr. 2015 , H. Iketake leg. ( KPMNH). RUSSIA: 1 F, Khabarovsk, Khabarovsk, hr. Khekhtsir , 11 Jun. 1983 , Dmitri Kasparyan leg. (ZISP).

Description. Female (n = 4). Body length 11.2–12.5 mm, polished and covered with punctures and silver setae.

Head 0.6 × as long as wide. Clypeus 2.1–2.2 × as broad as high, sparsely punctate, strongly convex in lateral view. Face 2.0–2.2 × as broad as high, densely punctate, weakly convex medially in lateral view. Malar space 0.5–0.6 × as long as basal mandibular width. POL 1.6 × as long as OD. OOL 1.6–1.7 × as long as OD. Vertex with short setae, ca. 1.5 × as height as lateral ocellus in lateral view. Antenna with 30–32 flagellomeres. FL I 4.44 × as long as maximum depth and 2.0 × as long as FL II.

Mesosoma densely punctate. Epomia absent. Speculum with a conspicuous smooth area. Propodeum with posterior transverse carina largely absent except for short, trace-like ridge. Mesosternum with long and dense setae, ca. 1.0 × as long as maximum depth of FL I in lateral view.Area postero-externa of propodeum with longitudinal rugae. Fore wing length 8.5–9.5 mm. Areolet received vein 2m-cu slightly distant (ca. width of 2m-cu) of the outer angle. Nervellus intercepted at middle. Hind femur 6.2–6.5 × as long as maximum depth in lateral view. Ratio of length of hind first to fifth tarsomeres 4.0: 2.0: 1.4: 0.8: 0.95–1.0. Hind second tarsomere 5.0 × as maximum depth. Tarsal claws pectinate.

Metasoma. T I 1.75–2.0 × as long as maximum width, punctate except for smooth areas on apex, median longitudinal area and base, with minute transverse striae medially and minute longitudinal striae posteriorly. T II 1.1–1.45 × as long as maximum width. T II to T V with minute transverse striae. Ovipositor sheath 1.9–2.0 × as long as hind tibia.

Coloration ( Figs 11 A–C View FIGURE 11 ). Body (excluding wings and legs) black. Clypeus yellow except for dorsal margin. Mandible yellow except for blackish brown teeth. Palpi reddish brown. Dorso-lateral corner of pronotum and tegula yellowish brown. Mesoscutum with a pair of large yellow markings antero-laterally. Each posterior margin of metasomal tergites narrowly tinged yellowish brown. Ovipositor reddish brown. Wings hyaline. Veins and pterostigma blackish brown to brown. Median part of pterostigma paler than outer areas. Fore and mid coxae, trochanters and trochantelli yellow. Fore and mid femur, tibia and tarsus reddish brown except for apexes of femora and base of tibiae yellow. Hind leg black to blackish brown except for dorsal yellow marking of coxa. Apex of hind femur and base of hind tibia narrowly tinged with yellow. Tibial spurs yellowish brown to reddish brown. Hind femur sometimes tinged with reddish brown.

Male. No Japanese material examined. See Kang et al. (2020) for the description.

Distribution. Japan (Honshu). Outside Japan, this species has been recorded from Russia and Korea ( Yu et al. 2016; Kang et al. 2020).

Bionomics. Host unknown. Adults were collected in April to June.

Remarks. This is the first record of this species from Japan.
