Material examined. Holotype NHM UK 2013.1122 and paratype NHM UK 2013.1123, Stn 246: Pacific, Northwest (Middle of); 3748 m.
Supplementary descriptions. Young (1998b) and Poltarukha (2012), including appendage descriptions.
Distribution. Pacific, Northwest and Southwest; Indian Ocean. Known depth range 3310 to 4820 m.
Remarks. The shell plate details of this large species show similarities to those of T. darwinii and T. ovale ( Hoek, 1883) , but some differences were described by Young (1998b).
