Material examined. 1 female (12.9 x 12.6 mm) ( DABFUK), Kalpeni, 4 October 2014 .

Remarks. Previously recorded from Lakshadweep (Alcock 1900b; Thomas 1969; Dev Roy 2008; Kumaralingam et al. 2017). This is a widespread species in the Indo-West Pacific ( Crosnier 1965). Specimens were also observed on Kavaratti and Minicoy but not collected.
