Repipta annulipes Barber, 1925:250 View in CoL [descr.], Galapagos Is., Indefatigable; Wygodzinsky, 1949:45 [cat.]; Maldonado, 1990:269 [cat.].

Redescription.—General coloration light brown and brown. Head: brown except antenniferous tubercles, clypeus and antennifer spines, these light brown; eyes not surpassing margins of head; antenna I and II light brown, III and IV brown, III slightly increased; rostrum I–III light brown or pale, reduced hairs. Pronotum: anterior lobe and collar light brown dorsally with two brown circular spots on either side of longitudinal sulcus, laterally brown; anterolateral angles brown; posterior lobe brown. Scutellum: principal body light brown; posterior process pale, short and acuminate. Pleura: light brown; propleura with a brown broad band; mesopleura with two brown subparallel bands reaching anteriorly; single band on metapleura. Legs: femurs light brown; fore-, mid-, and hind femora with two brown bands, one beyond middle and two apically ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A); tibiae with two bands, at base and medially, apices brown, abundant short and long hairs. Abdomen: connexival segments: light brown; unarmed; urosternites II–V with a broad dark brown, almost black, longitudinal band placed near lateral margin with an oblique pale depression. Macropterous form: brown. Hemelytra: corium and clavus brown; hemelytron longer than abdomen; membrane hyaline.

Distribution: Ecuador.

Material examined. HOLOTYPE, 1 3 Ecuador: Galapagos: Indefatigable Island, [0°48'S – 90°58'W], 1925, Barber det., ( AMNH).

No visible traits were taken from original description ( Barber, 1925). It superficially resembles R. flavicans but can be differentiated by the lack of inverted “V” coloration pattern on posterior lobe of pronotum.
