Material examined. None.

Distribution. Western Atlantic—Caribbean Sea, Brazil (Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo) ( Rieger 1998; Melo 1999; Coelho et al. 2007; Nucci & Melo 2011).

Remarks. Nucci & Melo (2011) reported few individuals obtained in São Paulo during the deep-water surveys in the Project REVIZEE (st. 6661, 147 m, 5 spec., MZUSP 13859).
