This rarely encountered eucnemid was a precintive species in Texas ( Muona 2000), but now have taken for the first time in Oklahoma. One specimen was taken from a Lindgren funnel trap. OKLA- HOMA: Rogers County: 4.3 km N Catoosa, 23 June–13 September 2016, A. Edwards (CMNH).

Fornax bicolor (Melsheimer, 1844)

In Canada, this rarely collected eucnemid species has been recorded in Quebec. In the United States, F. bicolor was previously taken from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia ( Muona 2000) and for the first time in Ohio. Two specimens were taken from Lindgren funnel traps baited with a combination of EtOH and α- Pinene lure.
