References: Khalaim 2011: 128; Balueva et al. 2013b: 171; Sheng & Sun 2014: 317.

Remarks. Diaparsis pulchra is closely related to the Trans-palaearctic species D. rara Horstmann , but differs by the characters given in the table below:

Four specimens from the Russian Far East treated as D. rara , var. ( Khalaim 2005: 423) really belong to D. pulchra . We confirm our earlier record of D. rara from Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China ( Khalaim & Sheng 2009: 72).

Variation. One female from Spassk-Dalniy ( Russia) has the ovipositor sheath shorter, only 1.15× as long as the first tergite (1.6–1.8× in other material); otherwise this female corresponds well with other material of D. pulchra .

Material examined. China, Liaoning Prov.: 13 ♀ (11 ♀ GSFPM, 2 ♀ ZISP) Baishilazi, Kuandian, 21– 28.VII.2011, SIT. Russia, Khabarovsk Reg.: 1 ♀ ( ZISP) Vysokogornyy, flood plain of Mulinka river, 14.VII.1983, coll. D.R. Kasparyan. 1 ♂ ( ZISP) same locality and collector, birch forest, 10.VII.1983. Primorskiy Reg.: 1 ♀ ( ZISP) Spassk-Dalniy, forest, meadows, 30.VI.1995, coll. S.A. Belokobylskij. 1 ♀ ( ZISP) 15 km SSW of Nezhino, forest, meadows, 18.VII.1993, coll. S.A. Belokobylskij. 1 ♀ ( ZISP) 30 km SE of Ussuriysk, valley forest, 16.VII.2001, coll. S.A. Belokobylskij.
