( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 26 – 29 )

Glaucocharis pilcheri Gaskin, 1988 , in Wang Wang et al.: 324, 374, figs. 46, 86.

Material examined. 1 3, 2 ƤƤ, Hanmi, Mêdog (29°13ʹN, 95°18ʹE), Tibet, 2380 m, 9.viii.2003, leg. Xinpu Wang and Huaijun Xue ( NKUM).

Diagnosis. Glaucocharis pilcheri Gaskin, 1988 is similar to G. taphrophracta (Meyrick, 1934) in male genitalia, but can be separated by the costa with a subbasal prong and a apical prong, the phallus with a row of small cornuti in the male genitalia; the antrum with sparse tiny spines on anterior half, the ductus bursae with a loop at about middle, and the ductus seminalis arising from about middle of ductus bursae in the female genitalia. In G. taphrophracta , the costa lacks the prong, the phallus bears two long and thin cornuti; the antrum is smooth, the ductus bursae is straight, and the ductus seminalis is situated at the anterior one third of the ductus bursae.

Description. Adult forewing length 5.5–7.0 mm.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 26 – 29 ). Papilla analis ovate, slightly shorter than apophysis posterioris. Tergite eight about half length of apophysis anterioris. Antrum straight tubular, anterior half sparsely covered with tiny spines. Ductus bursae long and thin, curved slgihtly, looped at about middle. Ductus seminalis arising from middle of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae rounded; signa double and rounded, one placed at about posterior one sixth of corpus bursae, another placed at about posterior one third of corpus bursae.

Distribution. China (Tibet), Sikkim.

Remarks. This species is newly recorded for China, with female described here for the first time. Wang et al. (1988) described and figured the male adult and genitalia.
