Current status: Laemobothrion maximum ( Scopoli, 1763) ; Nelson & Price 1965: 254.

Type host: Circaetus ferox (Gmelin) = Circaetus gallicus (Gmelin) .

Type locality: Sakrand (District Nawabshah), Sindh, Pakistan .

Type material: Listed as deposited in the NHML ( Ansari 1955c), but it could not be found and is presumed lost .
