Current status: Menacanthus abdominalis ( Piaget, 1880) ; Hopkins & Clay 1953: 439; Price et al. 2003: 117. Type host: Coturnix coturnix coturnix (Linnaeus) View in CoL .

Type locality: Faisalabad [as Lyallpur, Punjab], Pakistan .

Type material: Holotype female (labelled as “ TYPE ”), allotype male and nymph [slide NHML010658012 View Materials ] and four paratypes (two males, two females) [slide NHML010658013 View Materials ] in the NHML.
