Type host: Philostomus [sic] afer (Linn.) = Ptilostomus afer (Linnaeus) .

Type locality: Guinea-Bissau [as Portuguese Guinea] .

Type material: Holotype male and allotype female deposited in the NHML [slide NHML010670974 View Materials ] from the Meinertzhagen collection [4064] and six paratypes (one male and five females) also found in the NHML [slides NHML010709288–9 View Materials ].
