TYPE LOCALITY: Puerto Rico, Jobo Dist., near Utuado .

DISTRIBUTION: Puerto Rico; Hispaniola ( Haiti and Dominican Republic) and offshore Isis. Introduced on St. Thomas, St. Croix, and Mona Isis.

COMMENT: Reported as extinct by Hall, 1981: 868, but CAW states that this species may still survive in Hispaniola and Puerto Rico.
