Diagnosis

Its small size (3.5–4.5 mm), largely pale body, simple claws, and distinctive lancet and penis valve distinguish this species from the others.

Host plants

Ribes nigrum ( Hukkinen 1922) . Larvae feed singly inside the berries. One generation per year.

Based on 12 specimens, maximum within-species distance is 1.08% and the nearest neighbour, diverging by a minimum of 6.74%, is Euura fallax .

Nuclear

Only one sequence available. The nearest neighbour, diverging by a minimum of 2.5%, is Euura oligospila .

Distribution and material examined

Palaearctic. Specimens studied are from Finland, Germany, Russia, and Sweden.
