Diagnosis
Black antennae and mesepisternum distinguish the females from the darker specimens of E. miliaris . Male not known for certain.

Host plants
Populus tremula . Records from Salix ( Georgiev et al. 2002) and Betula ( Boevé 1990) need confirmation.

Nuclear
Only one sequence available, a female with haplotypes diverging by 0.01%. The nearest neighbour, diverging by a minimum of 1.7%, is Euura miliaris .
Distribution and material examined
Palaearctic. Specimens studied are from Belgium, Czech Republic (uncertain male), Finland, Germany, Russia, and Sweden.
