Diagnosis. This genus is quite similar to Yponomeuta in appearance, but can be easily distinguished from it by the apically dilated gnathal arm and the inverted U-shaped sclerite ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 8 – 10 b) on the eighth abdominal segment in male, and by the compactly fused Sc and R1 veins of the hindwing ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ). Moriuti (1977) described the generic characters in detail.
