Neoromicia isabella ( Decher, Hutterer and View in CoL

Monadjem, 2015)

This recently described species ( Decher et al., 2015) has only been recorded from a small settlement adjacent to the Liberian town of Yekepa at the base of Mt Nimba. This species was referred to as Neoromicia cf. rendalli by Monadjem et al., (2013 a) who recognised it as a distinct species (with features similar to those of N. rendalli ) but did not have sufficient material with which to publish a new species description. In a separate study, two further specimens were collected in the Simandou Range in north-eastern Guinea, which genetically and morphologically refer to the same species as the Mt Nimba specimen ( Decher et al., 2015).
