TYPE MATERIAL. — Vanuatu. [Malampa Province], Ambrym [Is.], Ranon to Mt.Toyo, 0-500 m, 2.IX.1979, W. C. Gagné et al., ♂ holotype ( BPBM 16,777). Not examined.
TYPE LOCALITY. — Vanuatu, Ambrym Is.
DISTRIBUTION. — Vanuatu, Ambrym and Efate islands ( Otte 2007a).
DIAGNOSIS. — Species of average size, close in size and colouration to C. tankara n. sp., C. cheesmani and C. epiensis n. sp. Male differs from C. cheesmani by male genitalia and from C. tankara n. sp. by FW colouration, with a large light crescent including posterior part of mirror, and by genitalia (pseudepiphallic dorsal crest symmetrical, no basal protuberance near median shrinkage of pseudepiphallus, shape of endophallic sclerite).
