The type locality is Brazil, Rio de Janeiro. Having the females of two species both of which run to P. setosa View in CoL in Borgmeier’s (1960) key, I borrowed one of Borgmeier’s specimens from the Museu de Zoologia da Universidade de São Paulo. This revealed that Borgmeier overlooked the unique feature of the almost bare, but finely ridged, patches on the frons (Fig. 10).
