Speckled Blenny or Throatspotted Blenny. To 7.5 cm (3 in) TL ( Allen and Robertson 1994). Bahía Santa Maria (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California) (labelled as Malacoctenus afuerae ) and Cabo San Lucas, southern Baja California ( Thomson et al. 1979) to Chile ( Grove and Lavenberg 1997), including Gulf of California (Thomson et al. 2000), and Islas Galápagos ( Grove and Lavenberg 1997). Benthic; depth: intertidal to 25 m (83 ft) (min.: Grove and Lavenberg 1997; max.: Robertson and Allen 2002).
