Pitted Tubeshoulder. To 19.5 cm (7.7 in) SL ( Sazonov et al. 1993). Atlantic and Pacific Oceans ( Fricke et al. 2020); northern Pacific Japan ( Balanov et al. 2009); Sea of Okhotsk; western Bering Sea near Karaginskiy Trench, eastern Bering Sea north of Semisopochnoi Island, and Gulf of Alaska (59°07’N, 146°54’W) ( Stevenson et al. 2009) to Chile, including Gulf of California ( Matsui and Rosenblatt 1987). Mesopelagic and bathypelagic; depth: 200–2,607 m (656–8,551 ft) ( Porteiro et al. 2017).
