Pacific Piquintinga or Striped Herring. To 15.9 cm (6.3 in) TL ( Coello et al. 2021). Bahía Ballenas (26°40’N, 113°30’W), southern Baja California (Grove and Lavenberg 1994) to Puerto Pizarro, Peru (Chirichigno and Vélez 1974), including Gulf of California (Whitehead and Rodríguez-Sánchez in Fischer et al. 1995) and Islas Galápagos ( Grove and Lavenberg 1997).
