Mississippi Silverside. To 15 cm (3.9 in) TL ( Page and Burr 2011). Native to the greater Mississippi Valley. Found in San Francisco Bay and in various freshwater systems in California ( Moyle 2002). California specimens sometimes, and apparently erroneously, referred to as Menidia beryllina (Cope, 1867) .
