Only one genus in the subfamily Epaphroditinae occurs in the Neotropics and it is restricted to the Greater Antilles. Epaphrodita Serville contains three species: E. musarum (Beauvois, 1805) and E. lobivertex Lombardo & Perez-Gelabert, 2004 are treated by Lombardo & Perez-Gelabert (2004), and E. undulata ( Saussure, 1870) was revalidated by Roy (2005a). General remarks on Epaphrodita can be found in Salazar (2004a). The inclusion of this genus within the Hymenopodidae is questionable.
