Small gray flies, 14–19mm. Legs entirely black. Epandrial lobes with a distinct mediodorsal tooth ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 1 – 12 ). Gonostylus arched ventrally and apex widely rounded ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 13 – 25 ). Aedeagus short, truncated, apex trifid ( Figs. 47, 48 View FIGURES 26 – 48 ). Ovipositor with distinct strong dorsal spines and smaller ventral spines ( Fig. 66 View FIGURES 58 – 66 ).
Head: Mystax with long white hair; face black and white tomentose; strong black postocular bristles. Thorax: Chaetotaxy with 1 weak posthumeral; 2 notopleural; 1–2 supraalar; 2 postalar; 2–4 dorsocentral bristles. Scutellum gray pollinose with sparse short black hair; suctellar margin with 2 strong bristles and row of sparse yellow hair. Pleurae gold/gray tomentose with sparse white and yellow hair. Legs: Black with yellow and black hair and bristles. Wings: Darkly tinged on posterior margin. Abdomen: Gray integument with short black medial hair and lateral yellow hair. Distinct lateral marginal bristles on all tergites. Male sternite 8 reduced. Epandrial lobe with a distinct mediodorsal tooth, posterior half of lobe curving medially enclosing an open circular space ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 1 – 12 ). Female ovipositor with distinct strong dorsal spines on cercus and weaker ventral spines ( Fig. 66 View FIGURES 58 – 66 ).
