Female: (n=3) Body worm-like, 188 long; prodorsal shield 35 long, 52 wide, anterior lobe present; prodorsal shield design with dashed lines, median lines from base to half, admedian throughout, convex at basal onethird and half, with transverse lines at basal one-third and half, submedian lines many; scapular tubercles set at prodorsal shield rear margin, setae (sc) 22 long, directed backward, sct-sct 23 apart; leg segments normal, foretibial seta (1') set at half, 4 long; 1st coxal setae (1b) 5 long, 1bt-1bt 11 apart, 2nd coxal setae (1a) 19 long, 1at-1at 15 apart, 3rd coxal setae (2a) 22 long, 2at-2at 28 apart; tip of solenidion spatulate; empodium simple, 6-rayed.

Opisthosoma: with about 67 microtuberculate rings; first 3 rings 4 long; lateral setae (c2) 17 long, c2t-c 2t 63 apart, c 2t \dt 46, c2t-dt 38; 1st ventral setae (d) 61 long, dt-dt 48 apart, dt\et 47, dt-et 41; 2nd ventral setae (e) 10 long, et-et 44 apart, et\ft 48, et-ft 42; 3rd ventral setae (f) 2 long, ft-ft 19 apart; setae h1 present.

Coverflap: 22 wide, 12 long, with many irregular rdges, genital setae (3a) 6 long, 3at-3at 17 apart.

Male: not seen.

Specimens examined: 4 females, Dakung, Taichung, 12-Nov.-2006; 3 females, Dapun, Chiai, 11-Aug.- 2006; 3 females, Jiasian, Kaohsiung, 27-Dec.-2007, K. W. Huang; ex. Cordia dichotoma Forst. (Boraginaceae) .

Relation to host: Cylindrical gall on the upper surface of leaf and erineum on lower surface of leaf.

Distribution: Taiwan.

Note: This species causes the same symptoms as Aceria gallae T. Huang, 1996 on Cordia dichotoma . Nevertheless, both species did not occur on the same tree.
