Cyathea subincisa Domin, Pteridophyta View in CoL 264. 1929.
= Cnemidaria speciosa C.Presl, Tent. Pterid. 57 t. 1 f. 16, 17. 1836.
Range: — Peru, Bolivia (CO, LP).
Ecology: —Common in premontane and lower montane forests, persisting in understory but doing best with some sun, forming colonies at suitable sites; 220–1700 m.
Notes: —Records of this species from other countries are based on dubious records. Identification of species of this complex ( Cnemidaria clade; Korall et al. 2007, Korall & Pryer 2014) is often difficult because information of important characters like number of pinnae and orientation of fronds are frequently not available in herbarium specimens.
