Range: — Peru, Bolivia (CO, LP).

Ecology: —Common in upper mountain rain forests and elfin forests; 2000–3000 m.

Notes: —Long confused with Cyathea delgadii but occurs at higher elevations and has overall duller scale and petiole colors ( Lehnert 2009a). Commonly associated with C. austropallescens and C. carolihenrici .
