Dianthidium (Dianthidium) parvum (Cresson, 1878) View in CoL

Counties: Swift.

Comments:A single male reported in Lane et al. (2020). Though apparently disjunct from the rest of the known range of this species, it was confirmed by genitalia dissection and matches specimens of D. parvum from the Nebraska sandhills. Dianthidium parvum technically is divided into two subspecies separated based on color ( Grigarick and Stange 1968), but it is unclear if they are meaningful taxa and unknown which matches the Minnesota specimen.

Material examined: Swift Co.: Chippewa Prairie (45.1545 -96.009): 1 ♁, 13 Jul 2018, T. Eicholz leg., bowl. Determined by Z. Portman, confirmed by M. Arduser GoogleMaps .
