Material examined. CHINA: Zhejiang Province: 2♂, Zhenfu Village (30.09°N, 118.93°E), Mt. Longtang , 520 m, 25.VII.2014, coll. Aihui Yin, Xuemei Hu and Qingyun Wang, genitalia slide nos. Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 3 – 10 ) wingspan 9.0̄ 9.5 mm. The male genitalia of S. quercivora ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 11 – 15 ) are characterized by the tegumen narrowly rounded at the top, the costa of the valva slightly concave, and the neck of the valva about 2/3 the width of the valva at the base. Strophedra quercivora is similar to S. dicastica (Meyrick, 1922) with the tegumen bearing a pair of long ovate flaps on its lateral wall and with a semicircular cucullus in the male genitalia. However, in S. quercivora the ventro-basal corner of the cucullus is obtusely angled, whereas it is smooth in S. dicastica ( Clarke 1958: pl. 280, fig. 1a). Superficially, S. quercivora can be distinguished from S. dicastica by the forewing lacking a leaden streak from below the seventh pair of strigulae, which is present in S. dicastica .

Hosts. Fagaceae : Quercus griffithi , Millettia japonica ( Komai 1999) . Distribution. China (Zhejiang), India, Japan.

Notes. This species is recorded for the first time from China.
