HOLOTYPE: AMNH 588467 , adult male, collected in the Mabira forest , ca. 00.30N, 32.57E ( Polhill, 1988), Uganda, on 14 January 1914, by V.G.L. van Someren. From the Rothschild Collection.

COMMENTS: In the original description,

van Someren designated as type a specimen in the Rothschild Collection with the above data. AMNH 588467 is the only male collected in the Mabira forest on 14 January 1914. A ‘‘dozen’’ specimens were collected, of which eight came to AMNH. The seven paratypes in AMNH are: AMNH 588466, 588468–588473, but I did not find 588470 in the collection.
