Note: This group has long been known as the Thiodininae , but a reinterpretation of the type genus Thiodina ( Bustamente et al. 2015) forces us to consider the name Thiodininae to apply instead to the “hyetussines”. The next available name for this group comes from Simon’s Gophoeae. While its type genus Gophoa is currently considered a synonym of Cotinusa , the nomenclatural rules (ICZN article 40.1) allow and compel us to use Gophoinae as the oldest available name.
