M. haeselbarthi new nom.
Perilitus alticae Haeselbarth, 2008, p 1038 View in CoL View Cited Treatment .
Remarks: Haeselbarth (2008) apparently overlooked the existence of M. alticae Loan since his definition of Perilitus includes Microctonus . The European M. haeselbarthi is in fact very similar to M. alticae . Based only on the holotypes, M. alticae differs mainly by having less setae on the median mesonotal lobe, less sculpture on the mesopleuron and mesoscutum, and occipital carinae widely separate medially (as opposed to narrowly separate). The coloration scheme is similar but M. alticae has a lighter petiole and is dark brown on the median mesonotal lobe and most of the pronotum where M. haeselbarthi is orange. Also, relative measurements for M. haeselbarthi include: transverse head/face = 2.5, stigma length/R1 = 1.2, petiole length/posterior width = 2.1, and M of the hind wing is about 50% longer than both cu-a and r-m while they are subequal in M. alticae .
