Material examined. AUSTRALIA: Queensland: QM w30026, 1 female (cl 7.3 mm, cw 6.6 mm), Qld, Coral Sea, E of Cape York, 10°31.86'S, 145°37.67'E, 1140–1172 m, CIDARIS III Expedition, stn 9-2, beam trawl, coll. M. Pichon, A. Birtles, P. Arnold, 12 February 1992.

Western Australia: NMV J53957 View Materials , 1 female (cl 15.5 mm, cw 12.6 mm), Perth Canyon, 31°58.283–57.317'S, 115°06.000–06.833'E, 848–1050 m, SS10/05/071, beam trawl, R. wilson, 29 November 2005.

Remarks. The specimens agree well with Castro’s (2005) description, including the presence of plumose setae on the anterior margins of the carapace ( Fig. 2B, C View FIGURE 2 ). Poore et al. (2008) (and repreated by McEnnulty et al. 2011) reported the western Australian specimen as “ Ethusina sp. MoV 5005” ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ).

Distribution. Southwestern Pacific, from Vanuatu, New Caledonia and now from Queensland and western Australia; 848–1250 m.
