MATERIAL EXAMINED. — Tonga. BORDAU 2: stn DW 1628, 23°22’S, 176°18’W, 400-416 m, 1 dd; stn DW 1630, 23°23’S, 176°18’W, 360 m, 1 dd; stn DW 1631, 23°23’S, 176°18’W, 407-443 m, 6 dd (Fig. 2C) GoogleMaps .

DISTRIBUTION. — Southern New Caledonia and now Tonga (new records), shells in 360-407 m.

REMARKS. — Pterynotus levii is easily distinguishable from the other Pterynotus species from the Indo-West Pacific by

its elongate, very narrow aperture, narrow shell, long siphonal canal and wide, expanded varical wings.
