Type. Male holotype from Gruta Onça , Dianópolis , Tocantins, Brazil [11°37’S, 46°49’W], 04-12.III.2008, Pellegatti-Franco ( IBSP 134158 View Materials ). Paratype: female from Maravilha , Porto Velho, Rondônia, Brazil [08°45’S, 63°54’W], IV.1996, Equipe IBSP / SMNK ( IBSP 15627 View Materials ) GoogleMaps .

Etymology. The specific name is a noun and refers to the type locality.

Diagnosis. The males of T. onca sp. nov. resemble those of T. xingu sp. nov. ( Fig. 140) in the bifurcated apex of the median apophysis (MA) ( Figs 111, 112), but can be distinguished by the presence of a median curvature on the median apophysis ( Fig. 112) and by the lamellar base and slender tip of the ental branch of RTA ( Fig. 114). The females resemble those of T. hirsutochela sp. nov. ( Fig. 104) in the median projection of the middle field of epigynum ( Fig. 107), but can be distinguished by the deep lateral excavation on the middle field ( Fig. 107) and by the rounded head of spermathecae ( Fig. 109).

Description. Male (Holotype, Tocantins, Brazil, IBSP 134158). Total length 5.47. Carapace 3.07 long, 2.82 wide, yellow; fovea marked. Clypeus yellow, 0.36 high. Anterior eye row straight, 0.74 wide ( Fig. 15); posterior recurved, 1.36 wide. Eye diameters, interdistances, and median ocular quadrangle: AME 0.16, ALE 0.08, PME 0.20, PLE 0.18; AME-AME 0.12, AME-ALE 0.07, PME-PME 0.24, PME-PLE 0.26, OQA 0.46, OQP 0.64, OQH 0.48. Chelicerae light brown with a patch of white bristles laterally ( Fig. 15). Sternum whitish, bristly; 1.41 long, 1.47 wide. Labium light brown, whitish distally, 0.33 long, 0.41 wide. Legs yellow, unmarked; relative length: I- IV-II-III, I—femur 6.30/ patella-tibia 9.04/ metatarsus 6.38/ tarsus 2.66/ total 24.38; II—6.65/ 7.98/ 5.18/ 2.12/ 21.93; III—4.38/ 4.78/ 3.59/ 1.46/ 14.21; IV—6.65/ 7.58/ 5.45/ 2.39/ 22.07. Ventral pairs of macrosetae on tibiae: I-4; II-4; III-3; IV-4. Abdomen 2.40 long, dark yellow, dorsum with several dark brown bristles anteriorly and two pairs of sigillae. Venter whitish, with scattered setae. Palpus with a bifurcated median apophysis ( Figs 111, 112) and with a short distal tegular projection ( Fig. 111). Ental branch of RTA elongated, with a lamellar projection at the base ( Figs 113, 114) and the ectal branch short and distally folded ( Fig. 114).

Female (Paratype, Porto Velho , Rondônia, Brazil, IBSP 15627 View Materials ). Total length 6.47. Carapace 2.57 long, 2.32 wide, as in male. Clypeus yellow, 0.22 high. Anterior eye row straight, 0.66 wide; posterior recurved, 1.18 wide. Eye diameters, interdistances, and median ocular quadrangle: AME 0.12, ALE 0.10, PME 0.20, PLE 0.20; AME- AME 0.12, AME-ALE 0.06, PME-PME 0.23, PME-PLE 0.24, OQA 0.36, OQP 0.60, OQH 0.46. Chelicerae light brown, bristly. Sternum whitish, bristly; 1.24 long, 1.32 wide. Labium as in male, 0.24 long, 0.28 wide. Legs yellow, unmarked; relative length: IV-I-II-III, I—femur 4.23/ patella-tibia 5.97/ metatarsus 4.15/ tarsus 1.57/ total 15.92; II—4.15/ 5.39/ 3.73/ 1.55/ 14.82; III—2.98/ 3.23/ 2.32/ 1.16/ 9.69; IV—4.31/ 5.14/ 4.89/ 1.90/ 16.24. Ventral pairs of macrosetae on tibiae: I-4; II-3 ; III-3; IV-3. Superior tarsal claw with nine teeth and inferior with one tooth ( Fig. 110). Abdomen 3.48 long, colouration as in male. Epigynum with a projected middle field ( Fig. 107) and conspicuous lateral hoods ( Fig. 107). Stalk of spermathecae short ( Fig. 108), copulatory ducts ( CD1 , CD2 ) triangular ( Fig. 108) and head of spermathecae prominent and rounded ( Fig. 109) .
