Range:— Bolivia ( CH, LP); northwestern Argentina to southeastern Brazil, eastern Paraguay, and northeastern Argentina.

Ecology:— Rare, local, three collections known from Bolivia, much more common in the eastern part of its range; aquatic in swampy places; to 1500–2250 m.
