Ecology in Martinique. One of the most abundant species in Martinique, distributed across a wide altitudinal range (300 m and above). It avoids the driest areas (located at lower altitudes) and is mostly found in biotopes with high vegetation cover. This small species seems to prefer a rather endogenous way of life, since most of its samples were made by Tullgren extraction of soil and litter.
Range (after Schileyko et al. 2018: 571). Lesser Antilles: Guadeloupe, Martinique; South America: Venezuela (States: Mérida, Trujillo), Colombia (Andean, Caribbean and Amazonian Regions).
Remarks. Our data on the altitudinal range of this species are consistent with those of Chagas-Jr et al. (2014), who indicated it as from 200 to 2850 m.
