Type host. Hydrangea sp. (Saxifragaceae) , presently considered as belonging to Hydrangeaceae family ( Flora do Brasil 2020).
Type locality. Parque Nacional do Ilaliaia , Rio de Janeiro, Brazil .
Relationship to host plant. Vagrants on the underside of leaves (Flechtmann 1995a).
Remark. Only known from the type host/locality.
Type host plant status. Exotic, ornamental, cultivated mainly in the South Region ( Lorenzi & Souza 2001).
