Relationship to host plants. On buds of G. brevispatha and G. schottiana or vagrant on leaves of Geonoma sp. , causing no apparent symptoms ( Navia & Flechtmann 2002).

Type host plant status in Brazil. Herbaceous , native palm, endemic, occurring in Mata Atlântica biome ( Flora do Brasil 2020) .
