Type locality: D.R. Congo, Lubumbasha .

Imago (Fig. 68): Wingspan 15–20mm. Head pale ochreous; labial palpus pale ochreous, segment 3 longer than 2, a tuft of brown scales beneath; proboscis long, ochreous. Thorax pale ochreous white. Forewing ground colour yellow; obscure oblique antemedian fascia of grey and brown scales; brown spots on costa making the sides of an isosceles triangle, filled grey dorsally, wedge shaped pre-apical strigula filled grey; trapezoidal grey blotch on dorsum beyond middle; silver-grey tornal spot; cilia fuscous. Hindwing base white brownish centrally, broad yellow fascia containing silver-grey tornal spot, outer half of median area sprinkled with fuscous scales; wavy double subterminal line; four terminal eye spots: 1 preceded by silver grey spot, 1, 2, and 3 followed by ochreous wedge, 4 small containing silver grey spot; termen yellow beyond 4. Legs pale yellow, fuscous on and below joints of foreleg. Abdomen pale yellow.

Male genitalia (Fig. 128): Uncus short, tapered; gnathos ¾ length of uncus, tapered to a blunt point with several teeth, especially on the dorsal surface; valva broad and short, a process near apex from which arise 3–4 specialised setae, one of these has a broad tip with brush of spines descending from it; juxta straight sided with spines on either side. Aedeagus simple, some sclerotisation around tip.

Sternum 8 (Fig. 128c) with a plate narrowed posteriorly from which there is a central projection.

Female genitalia (Fig. 177): Ostium and antrum wide, gently narrowing to colliculum; corpus bursae twice length of antrum, signum a weakly sclerotised band, there is also a small plate.

Tympanal organs: Venulae widely divergent towards tympani.

Diagnosis: Distinguished by the large areas of yellow in the forewing, and the subterminal line of the hindwing closely following the inner edge of the eyespots.

Biology: Unknown.

Distribution: Congo, D.R. Congo, Zambia, South Africa.
