Distribution in Korea. CB, GB, GG, GN, GW, JN ( Park et al. 1980, as Trioza salicivola [sic]; Kwon & Lee 1981, as B. (Smirnovia) distinctissima and B. (S.) salicivora ; Kwon 1983, as B. (S.) distinctissima ; Yoon et al. 1990, as B. (S.) distinctissima ; Park 1996, as Eubactericera distinctissima ; Paek et al. 2010, as E. distinctissima ; Lee et al. 2014, as B. salicivora ; Kwon et al. 2016, as B. (Klimaszewskiella) distinctissima ; Kwon & Kwon 2020, as B. (K.) distinctissima ) (KNA, NAAS, NIBR, SNU).

Host plant. Salix babylonica L. ( Kwon 1983), S. gracilistyla Miq. , S. koriyanagi Kimura ex Goerz (Salicaceae) .

Comments. The records of Trioza salicivola [sic], Bactericera (Smirnovia) salicivora and B. salicivora from Korea by Park et al. (1980), Kwon & Lee (1981) and Lee et al. (2014) are misidentifications of B. distinctissima ( Kwon 1983) .
