Diagnosis. Proepimeron black; scutum black; scutellum black with slightly reddish margins; anepimeron black. Femora brown, the apices broadly yellow; pro- and meso tibiae yellow; hind tibia brown, the base yellow. Wing extensively microtrichose; alula as broad as cell BM. Abdomen black, the 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th terga with three opaque, velvet-black spots.
Length. Body 5.0 mm.
Discussion. The type material is in Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie te Leiden, and it was not possible to examine any specimens. The characters presented here are based only on the original description of Toxomerus funestus ,
