Toxomerus sedmani Harbach, 1984: 840 View in CoL (descr.).
Diagnosis. Face 1/2 as long as eye width, yellow; frontal triangle yellow. Proepimeron black; scutum black except broadly yellow laterally; scutellum brown with yellow margins, yellow pilose with black piles on posterior margin; anepimeron black. Pro and mesofemora yellow, metafemur yellow with black annulus; tibiae yellow, except metatibia brown with base and apex yellow. Wing extensively microtrichose; alula as broad as cell C, microtrichose. Abdomen with yellow medial vitta. Surstylus very convex laterally and very concave medially; postanal process 1/2 as long as surstylus; aedeagus all enlarged, slightly proeminent dorsally; superior lobe somewhat quadrangular with a very short dorsal extension, with hairs anteroventrally,
with very small lobe medio-posteriorly with hairs.
Female genitalia: 9 th tergum with a semicircle black macula; epiproct slender; cercus slender; hypoproct somewhat triangular; 9 th sternum as in Fig. 147; three biconvex spermatecae similar in size ( Figs. 146–148).
Length. Body 6.0 mm, wing 5.0 mm.
Type material examined. Holotype. BRAZIL. Pará : Belém, Toxomerus sedmani , male, 26/IV/1967, Y. Sedman ( CNC).
Other material examined. BRAZIL. Pará: Belém , ♀, 20–21/XI/1963, Oliveira and Wygodzinsky ( MNRJ) .
Geographical record. Northern Brazil (Amazon rainforest).
