Tyrictaca hyalina ( Kallies & Arita, 2001) View in CoL

Ceratocorema hyalina View in CoL sp. nov. ” — Kallies & Arita 2001: 191, figs 2, 31, 45. Type locality: “... N. Vietnam, Ninh Binh Prov. ,

Gia Vien, Cuc Phuong , 370 m, ...”. Holotype ♂ ( NSMT).

Literature. Pühringer & Kallies 2004: 7 ( Ceratocorema hyalinum ); Kallies 2020: 11, 12 ( Tyrictaca hyalina ); Bąkowski et al. 2021: 234, figs 1–13 ( Tyrictaca hyalina ); Rodeland & Rennwald 2021 ( Tyrictaca hyalina ); Pühringer & Kallies 2021 ( Tyrictaca hyalina ).

Flight period. The holotype was collected on April 26 th and the paratype was caught in the beginning of May. At least six specimens of this species were accidentally bred from ficus bonsai in Poland, Germany, Finland and France. They emerged in February , March , April and November, respectively .

Host plant. Larvae live inside stems of Ficus microcarpa L.f. ( Moraceae ).

Distribution. It is known from North Thailand, Laos, South China and North Vietnam.

Remarks. 1). I believe that, with a very high degree of probability, Tyrictaca hyalina is a senior synonym for T. yoshiyasui , since the holotype of the latter (female) was collected in the same place and at the same time with the holotype of T. hyalina (male). In addition, these two taxa are very similar in details of external morphology, with the exception of the transparency of the forewing, which can only be of sexual nature. 2). This species was described from two specimens: a male (holotype) and a female (paratype), with the female collected in the vicinity of Nam Ngum Dam north of Vientiane in Laos. It is very likely that the female of T. hyalina belongs to a different species, and the authors mistakenly “married” the specimens of the genus Tyrictaca in their hands.
