Type species: Mustilizans drepaniformis Yang, 1995 : Insects of Baishanzu Mountain : 356, figs. 5, 11 (by original designation) .
Diagnosis. Members of the genus are large, body stout; antennae pectinate basally and filiform distally; forewing with falcate apex; wing coloration usually sandy-grey to rosy-grey with yellowish markings; uncus bifid, gnathos absent; valva with blunt apex; saccus short and broad; aedeagus elongate and tubular, vesica with numerous thick, needle-shaped cornuti grouped in clusters. Females larger than the males; wing coloration and pattern with a reddish-brown ground colour ( Zolotuhin 2007; Wang et al. 2015).
